"Thinning Pear Trees, Lage Orchards, Hood River Valley" (sold)

16"x12"
Oil on Panel

Here is another painting in the "Reflections on Rural Life" project that I did this past week.  It is of a couple of fellows named Gabriel and Martin thinning pear trees.  The harvest is a least a couple of weeks late this year due to the cold wet spring we had, but the pears are looking good and they expect a good yield nonetheless.
