I admire the single-mindedness of animals--they are just so into the moment. I wish I spent more time like that! But that is one thing I love about painting--it focuses my energy and thoughts often just drift away. It's a welcome rest from my self!

Vicki, I find too that painting takes me away to another place that is sort of without time. It's feels like a good place to be. I think that's a major reason for me wanting to paint.
