"My Guy, Tobey"

6"x6"
Oil on Gessoboard

Oh what a day!!! I worked on a painting I'd started yesterday--scraped it off more times that I remember and finally decided to paint my next to favorite male in my household--my little dog, Tobey!! I took some pics of him yesterday right after he'd been groomed and was playing with some other dogs. Such a great little creature!!! I'm blessed. I decided I'd give it to my absolutely favorite male in the household for Valentine's Day.

Vicki, I LOVE this painting. As a Bichon lover who is also involved in rescue, I have a herd of little white dogs around the house at all times. You have truly captured the "Bichon smile" and spirit of this wonderful breed.
Just....wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Vicki... well, it was Morning's First Hug (all versions) that originally caught my eye. But Tobey - his energy, your brushwork, the colors.... he is just stunning! I've grown to look hopefully for new posts from you and so, I’m giving you the Sunshine Award for creativity and positivity in blogging! Thanks for sharing your work and your process - it's inspiring! Check out my blog if you would like to accept your award. And many thanks Vicki! M
