I have painted Liz a couple of times before, but still love this subject. She was at the train station in Portland, OR this summer, having come in on the train from Chicago. I snapped a few shots of her and then asked permission to, saying that she didn't have to pose or anything. She was very generous and allowed me to take pictures of her--and then she began to pose. . .

For some time I have enjoyed your painting. It is very expressive and the colors very well chosen. These are subjects of real life. I like it.
