I think this my third attempt at this subject!  I have always gotten stymied by the faces--not happy with the skin tones and struggles to find the right amount of information to put in them.  I've got them sketched onto an 18x14 panel and decided to do this study first.   However, tomorrow I hope to finish the Pine Ridge commission I've been working on before I get to painting this mother and baby.
