"At Milagros' Window"

This painting is done from memory of a woman in front of me at the bank yesterday. It was a kick to paint from memory--I really enjoyed the freedom of it! I found I was able to change colors, shapes and to improvise more than I do when painting from life or using photos as references. As far as the subject goes. . .me being a short person, I am always kind of in awe when I see someone who looks like her!
