"Before Lunch" (sold)

6"x6"
Oil on Board
I really enjoy how things almost take on a different life when you focus in on them--I think a part of me almost expects them to get up and move! This painting reminds me of the workshop I took with Carol Marine and all she shared with us--good stuff on composition, edges and color.

Fun painting with wonderfully subtle colors, including in the shadows. I like the balance between abstraction and realism in your apple wedges.

I did think this was Carol Marines when I saw it on Daily Painters. She must be a good teacher and you a good student. Very nice. Barb
