New mothers and babies seem to prominent in my life this spring! This painting is of my nephew's wife who is expecting their first child soon. I think my husband would've liked to have grabbed the brushes out of my hands to make sure I didn't paint in all of the background! It is hard to leave places unpainted! However, I restrained myself :-) so consider it a success!

Such a sweet painting. I love the subtle clue that she is pregnant. You are lucky to be around so many new and expectant mothers!
