I didn't get to paint yesterday as I was spending time with this precious little one! It's the new daughter of my niece who was in the paintings I did a couple of weeks ago. This was lots of fun, but--MAN! It's HARD to paint a baby! I've never tried that before. Audrey is much prettier than this. Oh well, I will try again! Too much fun!

No need to try again my dear, this is wonderful! She looks precious and I love how you painted the blanket. Wonderful painting.

This is a wonderful painting of one of the most precious subjects--a new baby! I love it! I like the loose feel of the brushwork and yet the detail is so there, even the dimples on knuckles of the little hand!

Congrats Grand Aunty!! She is beautiful and how much fun is it going to be to paint her as she grows. Beautiful painting!

I totally agree- painting babies is very difficult. You did a fantastic job! I especially like the way you captured that wonderful baby chub around her eyes. And the positions of her hands are so natural. I can almost smell that new baby scent.
