It was fun playing with the light and the reflections in this painting of a scene from the 5th St. Public Market in Eugene, OR. at lunchtime. I really enjoyed the warmth of this palette of colors and the high contrast of the different elements in the painting. Ahhhhh, life is good!

Vicki: The chiaroscuro effect is what makes this piece work. You could almost render it without color and it would probably be just as great. Nice.

MMM, Life IS good. Beautiful work. would love to see more like this! The strokes look effortless and minimal. Just enough to capture the scene.
