Back to the "archives"! I had to work on illustrations today so decided to post this little painting that I did quite some time ago. Swans are a big part of downtown Bend. I love the sound they make as they fly--powerful!

They really are huge aren't they. I was painting by the harbor one day and I heard this loud noise and watched a swan fly from the water off into the distance. I couldn't get over how powerful it was, water streaming off it's body. Just amazing.
This is beautifully abstract.
